How good is a steak marinated and slow cooked in its own juices? Almost as good as a sweet red that’s been fortified with its own alcohol. Pair the two together and you have a meal that pirates would pillage the seven seas for.
This vintage tawny is made from a single block of organically grown grapes that are foot crushed & hand plunged. The juice is then fortified with alcohol that has been drawn from the batch, distilled, and dripped back into the system. Keeping a healthy whack of natural sugars hanging around. Tricky, but totally worth it.
The result is a sweet wine that brings forth memories of Christmas cake delivered by sugar plum fairies, with an aftertaste that lingers on the palate.
Enjoy by camp embers on a cold winter’s night, or next to a signal fire on a tropical treasure island. Sip and say ahhh, or swig and say arrgh.
